Greetings from HealthcareSource Talent Symposium!

HealthcareSource Talent SymposiumTalent Symposium 2016 — the annual HealthcareSource User Conference is upon us, and we’ve got a great event filled with education, hands-on training, expert insights, and networking you’re not going to find anywhere else!

The event kicked-off yesterday with pre-conference workshops dedicated to the users of our L&D solutions. Attendees from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton, White Plains Hospital, Kennedy Health, and others shared how they prepare for visits from The Joint Commission, manage staff competencies, and define leadership development programs.

Sunday continued with the Welcome Reception, hosted in the Partner Exposition. My favorite aspect of the conference is seeing clients, partners, and HealthcareSource staff welcome each other with warm smiles and big hugs. We always joke that it’s a “lovefest” when we all get together but it’s true — the relationships we’ve built with our clients and that clients have built with one another is invaluable.

This morning kicked off with the Keynote presentation from HealthcareSource president and CEO J.P. Fingado, followed by the Product Roadmap update from vice president of product Russ Wakelin. With plenty of coffee to keep attendees energized, today will continue with more than twelve tracks of content on everything you need to know to build a Patient-Centered Workforce™.

Continuing this afternoon and Tuesday, there’ll be roundtable discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and expo time with our partners. We’re looking forward to the Keynote presentation from award-winning author and speaker Kathy Dempsey as well as the presentations from this year’s Talent-in-Talent Award winners who come to us from IU Health, Owensboro Health, and Lakeland Health. And, of course, we can’t forget about the networking! In addition to our lunches and dinners, Tuesday night we’ll be hosting our networking party, sponsored by Universal Background Screening, at the National Museum of American History. What an exciting place to spend election night!

Finally, Wednesday we’ll kick off the morning with prizes as well as recognition of more outstanding HealthcareSource customers. Stick around in the afternoon. We’ll be transitioning to workshops on recruitment best practices and hiring for fit, with special breakouts presented by Lean Human Capital, the newest addition to the HealthcareSource portfolio!

So, for those of you who are here, I look forward to the next few days of networking, collaboration, and learning about all of the exciting advancements in the HealthcareSource Quality Talent Suite℠!

And for the rest of the HealthcareSource clients out there, my only question for you is, why aren’t you here with us?
