talent managementHealthcare talent managers, recruiters, and learning and development professionals have faced an uphill battle this year. The skills gaps continue to grow, leadership is increasingly difficult to find, and the supply of quality candidates appears to be slowing to a trickle.

Yet despite the difficulties and challenges healthcare hiring (and retention) presents, hospitals, senior living facilities, and other healthcare organizations have nonetheless been able to make quality hires and grow their workforces to provide quality care. This is in part thanks to the hard work, determination, and ingenuity of the professionals responsible for hiring, keeping, and growing their respective workforces.

At HealthcareSource, we believe it’s critical to recognize the individuals who help build, train, and grow our nation’s nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.

Each year, we present the Talent-in-TalentTM Awards during Talent Symposium, our annual conference. These awards aim to recognize talent management and organizational development professionals who demonstrate the highest levels of innovation, proficiency, and competency in healthcare talent management and education.

“From industry research, we know that recognizing top performers within your healthcare organization fosters better engagement, increases retention, and encourages workers to provide the best care possible,” says HealthcareSource Chief Strategy Officer David Wilkins. “In addition to our technology and services that help organizations accomplish this within their hospitals and care facilities for themselves, we provide an opportunity within the healthcare talent management community for industrywide recognition with these awards.”

Nominees are put forward by their respective organizations each year, to be considered by a panel of HealthcareSource judges. Along with the award and recognition, winners receive:

  • One complimentary pass to attend Talent Symposium
  • A stipend to cover your travel and accommodation expenses for Talent Symposium
  • A 15- to 20-minute speaking slot to share your story with hundreds of your peers during the Keynote/General Session at Talent Symposium
  • A featured story on our website, highlighting your success

But the true value of being nominated for, and winning, a Talent-in-Talent Award often goes beyond the free trip or center-stage speaking spot. To shed some light on what it means to receive Talent-in-Talent recognition, hear from a couple previous recipients of this honor:
